Hilda Diaz

Hilda Diaz, 91, of Holmdel, New Jersey, formerly of Middletown, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 10, 2019 at Bayshore Health Care Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Hilda Rodriguez on January 13, 1928 in Manhattan, New York.  Hilda grew up in New York City and spent her summers in Port Monmouth, New Jersey.  In 1962, she moved to the Bronx, New York with her family and shortly after in 1966, they settled in Middletown, New Jersey.  Before retirement, Hilda worked as a Seamstress for Wallach's Men's Clothing Store in Long Island City (Queens), New York for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Leocadio and Eduviges (Colon) Rodriguez, her first husband, Edward Estrada, her second husband, Jesus Diaz, her dear brother, Michael Rodriguez and her sister-in-law, Petra Rodriguez.  Hilda is survived by her loving children, Diana Colon of Bronx, New York and Edward Estrada Jr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Middletown, New Jersey, along with her dear brother, David Rodriguez of Belford, New Jersey, 5 cherished grandchildren and 16 adored great grandchildren.  Hilda will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

In respect of Hilda's wishes, she will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Thursday, June 13, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  Interment of Hilda's cremated remains with a graveside service will directly follow at Bay View Cemetery, Hosford Avenue, Leonardo, New Jersey.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
