Herbert Lee Hancock

Herbert Lee Hancock, 80, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Friday, December 24, 2021.  Herbert was born on February 16, 1941 in Petersburg, Virginia, and was raised in Brooklyn, New York.  He also lived in Carteret, New Jersey, before moving to Perth Amboy in 1978.  Ultimately in 2009, Herbert settled in Union Beach.  Herbert was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force.  He was a loving husband, father, step-father, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his wife, Martha Hancock, and his siblings, Herb, Donald, Char, Lavenia, Patricia, Carol, and Darline.  Herbert is survived by his loving daughter, Sabrina Hancock, his dear step-children, Tashia Taggart, Margaret Taggart, and Paul Taggart, his cherished granddaughter, Tanganitia Hancock and her fiancé, William Jaden Pou Collazo, and his adoring sister, Sharon.
