Harvey Wortzel

Harvey Wortzel, 86, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at Anchor Care in Hazlet.  Harvey was born on July 12, 1937 in Manhattan, New York, and was raised in Bronx, New York.  As a young adult in 1960, Harvey moved to Manhattan, where he met his beloved wife, Linda.  On June 30, 1968, Harvey and Linda were married and began their life together.  In 1972, they relocated to Queens, New York, before settling in Hazlet, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their family.  Before his retirement, Harvey was the proprietor and owner of Rapid Transfer Company Inc.  Most of all, Harvey was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend to many.  He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Louis and Esther (Rosengarten) Wortzel.  Harvey is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 55 years, Linda (Slutsky) Wortzel, his loving daughters, Lisa Temples of Scranton, Pennsylvania, and Sharon Wortzel of Englewood, New Jersey, his dear brother, Sam Wortzel, and his cherished grandchildren, Mac Temples, Casey Temples, and Gracie Maopolski.
