Harry W. Hoff, 75, of Union Beach, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday December 12, 2020 due to Parkinson’s Disease and COVID-19. Harry was born on April 10, 1945 and grew up in Keyport, New Jersey. He was a graduate of Keyport High School class of 1964. Before graduation, Harry met his beautiful wife of 56 years in 1963. They were married on November 14, 1964, and had 3 children together; Harry R. Hoff, Lorraine Olsen, and April-Lynn O’Carroll. Before his retirement, Harry worked hard his entire life as a builder and a fisherman and he always gave back to his community. He was loved by his family and his community and will be missed dearly.
He was predeceased by his parents, Clarence and Melba (Winterton) Hoff, his brother, Clarence (Buddy) Hoff, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Lorraine Romo, brothers-in-law, Eugene, Michael, Robert Romo, and Larry Thorpe and sister-in law, Phyllis B. Romo. Harry is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Linda (Romo) Hoff, his loving children, Harry R. Hoff, Lorraine M. Olsen and her fiancé, Troy Lovero, and April-Lynn Hoff-O’Carroll, his cherished grandchildren, Amanda Hoff, Sarah Olsen, and Linda O’Carroll, and his dear sisters-in-law, Kathy Romo Thorpe, Elaine Romo, and Prissy Hoff. Harry also leaves behind his treasured nieces and nephews, Larry Thorpe II, Samantha Thorpe, Jessica Thorpe, Marie Spence, Buddy Hoff, Michael Romo and his wife, Susan, and Maria Vicente and her husband, Albie, his adored great grandchildren and great nieces and nephews, Gavin, Kay-leigh, Madison, Ryleigh, Anthony Joseph, Richard, Hope, Rae-Lynn, Samayah, Orlando, Raymond, Caroline, Christine, Frankie, Nicco, Gianna, and Jaden, along with his kid’s friends that he treated as his own children, Sheri Riddle, Michelle Andrews, Marilyn Horan, and Kayla Yeachshein.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, December 17th, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Friday morning, December 18th, 2020 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home on Thursday evening at approximately 7:00 PM. Interment will follow Friday morning’s visitation at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
