Haricklia Stamatis, 97, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. She was born Haricklia Chones on May 28, 1927, in Platanos, Greece, where she grew up. In 1950, Haricklia immigrated to the United States, starting her life in Manhattan, New York, before moving to Queens in 1960. In 1969, she and her family settled in Port Jefferson Station, New York and in 1995, relocated to Hazlet, New Jersey, where she remained. Haricklia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Costas and Irene (Tsames) Chones, and her beloved husband, Angelo Stamatis. Haricklia is survived by her loving children, Irene Stamatis of Hazlet, Aristea Cianchetta of Hazlet, and Timmy Stamatis and his wife, Lisa, of Milton, Vermont, along with her cherished grandchildren, Marissa Stamatis, Margarita Cianchetta and her partner, Joe Demeraski, Toby Stamatis, Stephanie Nasser and her husband, Chris, John Stamatis, David Stamatis, Ana Stamatis, and Benjamin Stamatis, and her adored great grandchildren, Matthew and Michael Nasser.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, September 30, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. On Tuesday morning, October 1, 2024, a visitation will be held at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Hillcrest Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by the Funeral Liturgy at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at approximately 12:30 PM at Fair View Cemetery, 456 State Highway 35, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey.
