Hank Hosier, 58, a man of warmth and laughter, passed away peacefully at his home in Keyport, New Jersey, on February 16, 2026. Born on May 22, 1967, in Neptune, New Jersey, Hank's infectious smile and boundless kindness left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Growing up in Union Beach, Hank was a proud graduate of Keyport High School's class of 1985. His youthful spirit and love for his community were evident early on and remained constant throughout his life. After spending some adventurous years in Red Hook, New York, Hank returned to the Bayshore Area of New Jersey, where he continued to be a beloved figure in his community.
For many years, Hank was a dedicated associate at Home Depot in Hazlet, New Jersey. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and humor, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a joke.
Hank's interests were as sunny and expansive as his personality. An avid fisherman, he found solace and joy in the tranquility of the water. The beach was his haven, a place where he could bask in the sun and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. Music was another passion; his enthusiasm for concerts and live performances matched only by his ability to make new friends wherever he went.
In his community, Hank was known as the proverbial "mayor," a testament to his extraordinary ability to connect with people. It was rare for him walk down a street or walk into a shop or restaurant without stopping for numerous cheerful greetings from people he knew. Hank's patriotism was as fervent as his love for his town, and he wore his pride for his country on his sleeve.
Hank was predeceased by his parents, Paul and Jenny May (Wesley) Hosier, and his siblings, Paul Hosier Jr., Jack Hosier, Philip Hosier, Vern Hosier, and Jenny May Dam. He is survived by his loving sister, Sharon Degnan and her husband Michael, his dear friend Michelle Andrews, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends who will miss his friendly, kind, and funny nature. Hank’s legacy will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to experience his humor, his generosity, and his unwavering friendship.
In respect of Hank’s wishes, he will be privately cremated. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, February 28, 2026, from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
