Grete Jordt

Grete Jordt, 90, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, on Saturday, November 30, 2024.

Born on January 1, 1934 in Bremerhaven, Germany where she grew up. She moved to Hoboken, New Jersey in 1956, where she met the love of her life Fred and they were married the following year on September 28, 1957. She then moved to Hazlet, New Jersey with her husband and growing family in 1963. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She will be greatly missed, forever loved and never forgotten.

Grete is predeceased by her parents, Eduard and Grete (Gernhuber) Sunkimat and her daughter Irene Colunga. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Fred Jordt, her children, Frances DeWysockie and her husband William of Ft. Worth, Texas, Heidi Bizzarro of Monroe Township, New Jersey, and Fred Jordt and his partner Suzette Kerley of Brick, New Jersey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Karen DeWysockie, Louis Bizzarro, Sarah Bizzarro and Chris Bizzarro.
