Greg M Clifton

Greg M. Clifton, 70, of Sea Bright, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at Riverview Center, Red Bank, New Jersey.  Greg was born on August 26, 1954, in Queens, New York.  He graduated from Brentwood High School, Long Island, New York where he met the love of his life, Doreen DeLisi.  Greg and Doreen married on June 18, 1977, and began their married life living in East Islip, New York, where they remained until moving to Sea Bright, New Jersey seven years ago.  Greg worked for the Town of Islip, New York. He began his career as a harbor master and retired as an investigator in their code enforcement department. 

Greg’s enjoyed watching the Mets and playing baseball and softball for various leagues.  He also loved boating with Doreen and the time they spent on the water.  He was a devoted, son ,husband, father, grandfather and brother.  He will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten. 

He is predeceased by his parents, John R. and Audrey (Dunn) Clifton.  He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Doreen (DeLisi) Clifton, his caring children, Philip Clifton and his wife Alda Bellini-Clifton of Kings Park, New York and Audra MacDonald and her husband Eric of Holmdel, New Jersey, his cherished grandchildren, Dylan MacDonald and Jack Clifton and his brother, Jack Clifton of Florida. 

A memorial mass will be offered at 10:45 AM, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at the Church of Saint Mary, 20 Harrison Avenue, East Islip, New York   11730. In respect of Greg’s wishes, he will be privately cremated.  Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jesey was entrusted with the arrangements.
