Graziella C. Mahrous

Graziella C. Mahrous, 97, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at Care One in Holmdel.  Graziella was born on February 28, 1923 in Bellinzona, Switzerland. Graziella worked as a Business Administrator before marriage. Graziella married her beloved husband, Haroun on August 9, 1951, and they began their lives together living in Egypt. In 1954, they moved to Brooklyn, New York in the United States. Shortly after in 1955, they moved to Illinois.  A few years later in 1958, they returned to Brooklyn, New York.  They bought a house in Old Bridge, New Jersey in 1983 and after her husband Haroun retired, they settled in Old Bridge permanently. Graziella loved being a wife and mother.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Haroun of 67 years, her parents, Clara (Thalmann) and Pietro Tommasina, her brother, Gianfranco Tommasina and his wife, Anita. Graziella is survived by her beloved sister Fernanda Pianezza and her partner, Giuseppe Scolari of Bellinzona, Switzerland, her loving daughter, Serenella Stahl and her husband, Robert, of Matawan, New Jersey, and her cherished grandchildren, Charles Stahl and his fiancé, Erin Kennedy of Cambridge, Massachusetts and Matthew Stahl of Matawan, New Jersey.  Graziella was a loving aunt to her two nephews and three nieces, their spouses, and their children. Graziella will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, August 3, 2020 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and Tuesday morning, August 4, 2020 from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Tuesday morning, August 4, 2020 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  In respect of Graziella’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 50 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.  In order to accommodate all of Graziella's family and friends, we ask that you please be brief while visiting in order to make room for additional guests to pay their respects; we thank you for your understanding during this time.
