Grace Federico, 84, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey. Grace was born on August 23, 1940, in Brooklyn, New York. She was proud to live most of her life in Brooklyn, until moving to Hazlet, New Jersey in 2019 to live with family. She retired after many dedicated years from Highway Imaging, Brooklyn, New York, where she worked as a Medical Biller. She was active in her community (she was a den mother for her local Boy Scouts group) and especially active in her church and choir, St. Dominic’s Roman Catholic Church in Brooklyn, NY. She was especially involved in the Homeless Outreach Program. Upon moving to Hazlet, Grace became an active communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach, New Jersey. She cherished every moment spent with her family and nothing gave her more joy than the love and laughter of her grandchildren. "Grace, who was loved by all, will be remembered for her generosity and outspoken nature. She wore her heart on her sleeve, and her personality was truly larger than life."
She was predeceased by her beloved parents, Salvatore and Antoinette (DellaSala) Becivenga and her sister, Roseann Bonanno. Grace is survived by her loving sons, John Federico and his wife Denise of North Brunswick, New Jersey and Paul Federico and his wife Mary, with whom she lived. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Bencivenga, of Henderson, NV and her cherished and adored grandchildren, Tyler Federico, Nicholas Federico, Emily Federico and Ella Federico. Grace was a devoted daughter, mother, sister and grandmother. She will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.
In respect of Grace’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727, NJ 36, Union Beach, New Jersey.
