Giuseppe Scotto Di Clemente

Giuseppe Scotto Di Clemente, 89, of Fords, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, June 14, 2020.  Giuseppe was born on February 11, 1931 in Naples, Italy in the town of Capella, where he grew up.  After marriage, Giuseppe and his wife, Erminia, remained in Italy to raise their family and approximately 40 years ago, they settled in the United States.  Before retirement, Giuseppe worked as a truck driver for many years.  Most of all, he was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather.

He was predeceased by his parents, Maria (Iliano) and Salvatore Scotto Di Clemente, his beloved and devoted wife, Erminia Scotto Di Clemente, his siblings, Pasquale, Gennaro, Biagio, Clotilde and Giuseppina, and his son-in-law, Battista Mor.  Giuseppe is survived by his loving children, Rubina Scotto Di Clemente of Keyport, Maria Vaccari and her husband, Franco, of Avenel, Ornella Scotto Di Clemente and her husband, Antonio Scotto Di Uccio, of Hazlet, and Patrizia Di Meo and her husband, Gennaro, of Fords.  He is also survived by his dear siblings, Vito, Michele and Filomena Scotto Di Clemente, and his 11 cherished grandchildren and 14 adored great grandchildren.  Giuseppe will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at approximately 6:00 PM.  In respect of Giuseppe's wishes, he will be privately cremated.   As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 50 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.  In order to accommodate all of Giuseppe's family and friends, we ask that you please be brief while visiting in order to make room for additional guests to pay their respects; we thank you for your understanding during this time.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
