Gilbert Bosco

Gilbert Bosco 95, of Staten Island, New York, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on September 17, 2019.  He was born in the home he lived in his entire life in, on February 4, 1924.  He was a proud Marine Corps veteran of WWII. He retired from the New York City Police department in 1975.  He was predeceased by his loving parents Mario and Rose (Sala)  Bosco, his beloved wife Veronica (Chestnut) Bosco and his siblings.  Gilbert is survived by his loving sons Don Bosco and his wife Kimberly, Thomas Bosco, Richard Bosco, Michael Bosco and his wife Elizabeth, his cherished grandchildren Christina, Lauren, Gia,Robert, Carolyn, Jacqueline, Steven, Don  and Julia, along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will be sadly missed but never forgotten.  Family and friends are invited to visit at the Martin Hughes Funeral Home, 530 Narrows Road South, Staten Island, New York 10304,  on Thursday morning September 19, 2019 from 10:15 to 11:15 AM,  Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Thursday, September 19 at 11;45 AM at St Sylvester Catholic Church, 854 Targee Street, Staten Island, New York 10304. Interment will follow at Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.
