Georgette A. Wells

Georgette A. Wells went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday morning, December 8, 2020. She was surrounded by her loving family.  Georgette was born in Newark, NJ, lived in Nutley, NJ before moving with her family to Union Beach at the age of 6.

Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Grandma and Friend. Georgette was all of these things!

She was an amazing homemaker and always put her family first, she loved to sew, bake and cook for her family.  HER CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES WERE LEGENDARY! Her love was far reaching and unconditional. Her beauty was inside and out, loved by all who knew her. Being a good mother and grandma was her greatest joy! She will always be remembered for her warm personality and open hand to anyone who needed her.

She was the epitome of the word “Lady”.  Her grace and class emanated from her being every day of her life.  She held the love of the Lord in her heart and it radiated out of her, touching all who were blessed enough to know her.

She will be remembered by her grandchildren as the family seamstress, baker, story reader, artist, star wiffle ball pitcher and just an overall loving caregiver we may not have deserved but the one we were grateful to have had!

Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also; and he praises her; Many women do noble things, but you have surpassed them all.”

Georgette is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Rose Broznya, her sisters Peggy, Dottie and Helen.  She is survived by her brother Walter Brown of Union Beach, NJ, her loving and devoted husband, Frank A. Wells, son, Frank W. Wells and his wife, Suzann, Michael C. Wells and his fiancé Lisa Testa, and her grandchildren, Frank M. Wells, and Julianne Cooper and her husband, Samuel.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, December 12, 2020 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM and Monday afternoon, December 14, 2020 from 12:30 to 1:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Prayer Service will be offered on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 1:00 PM.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Keyport, New Jersey.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 100 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.  In order to accommodate all of Georgette's family and friends, we ask that you please be brief while visiting in order to make room for additional guests to pay their respects; we thank you for your understanding during this time. Face protection is also required as per state regulations.
