George Ivanciu

George Ivanciu, 72, of Red Bank, New Jersey, passed away on May 11, 2024, at Red Bank Rehabilitation.  George was born on May 20, 1951, in Bucharest, Romania and immigrated to the United States in 1977, settling in Queens, New York.  In 2018, George relocated to Red Bank, New Jersey.  George worked as an artist in fine arts, graduating top of his class at the Bucharest National University of Arts.  Prior to his move to New Jersey, he was employed with the New York City Board of Education as a teacher.  Most of all, George was a loving father, brother, grandfather, and friend to many.  He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

He was predeceased by his parents, Marin and Ana (Dumitrescu) Ivanciu.  George is survived by his loving children, Michael Ivanciu and his wife, Stephanie, of Aberdeen, and Laura Ivanciu of Aberdeen, his dear sister, Constanza Ciarapica, and his cherished grandchildren, Isabella, Nicholas, and Vivienne Ivanciu.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A committal service, followed by entombment will take place on Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 12:00 PM, at St. Michael’s Cemetery Mausoleum, 72-02 Astoria Boulevard S, Queens, New York 11370.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit www.shorepointfh.com.
