Franquelina Torres

Franquelina Torres, 86, of Cliffwood, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on April 21, 2025.  Franquelina was born on December 28, 1938, in Sonson Antioquia, Colombia.  In 1977, she moved to New York City, New York.  Over the years, she lived in Passaic, New Jersey, Dover New Jersey, Miami Florida.  She relocated to Cliffwood, New Jersey to be closer to family.  She enjoyed her career working for Atlantic Pad, as a seamstress, in Manhattan, New York for many years.  She loved sewing and gardening.  Above all else, Franquelina loved spending time with her family. She was a devoted, daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and aunt.  She will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten. 

She was predeceased by her parents, Baudilio and Ine’s (Loaiza) Leon, her loving husband, Fidelino Torres, her sons-in-law, Cruz Rios and Alvaro Botia and several brothers and sisters.   She is survived by her loving daughters, Consuelo Rios, Luz Botia, Yency Velasquez, and Alessandra Cena and her husband Francisco, her cherished grandchildren, Andres F., Carolina, Juan David, Nathalia, Alexander, Diana and Ricardo and she had seven adoring great grandchildren.  She is also survived by many brothers and sisters.
