Frank S. Grillo, 72, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 17, 2024. Frank was born on August 14, 1952, in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up. In 1982, he moved to Ozone Park, New York, when he met his beloved wife, Kathleen, and on July 1, 1989, they were married. A few years later in 1993, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey, where they remained to raise their son, Thomas. Before his retirement, Frank worked for Bank of America in their wealth management department as an IT representative. Most of all, Frank was a loving husband, father, uncle, cousin, and friend to many. He will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank J. Grillo and Mae (Romano) Grillo, his niece, Jennifer Santanello, and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Santanello and Deborah Licata. Frank is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 35 years, Kathleen M. (Licata) Grillo, his loving son, Thomas F. Grillo, and his dear brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Margaret Lewis and her husband, Michael, and James Licata. Frank also leaves behind his cherished niece and nephews, Philip Santanello, Matthew Santanello, Rebecca Lewis, and great-nephew, Nicholas Santanello.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, October 20, 2024, from 12:00 to 4:00 PM and Monday morning, October 21, 2024, from 10:00 to 10:45 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Route/Highway 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, October 21, 2024, at 11:15 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery, 80-01 Metropolitan Avenue, Queens, New York.
