Frank Grabowski Jr., 89, of Keyport, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 17, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Frank was born on September 30, 1935, in Elizabeth, New Jersey. He moved to Keyport with his family during his childhood, where he grew up spending much of his time on the Raritan Bay. On February 2, 1963, Frank and his beloved wife, Sophie, were married and began their life together in Keyport, where they remained to raise their family. Before his retirement, Frank worked as a union carpenter for Local Union #2250 in Red Bank. He was an avid woodworker, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and gardening in his spare time. Frank was a longtime member of the Central Jersey Rifle and Pistol Club where he enjoyed target shooting. He was a proud life member of the Lincoln Hose Fire Company in Keyport, as well as their past Captain and President. In addition, he was a veteran of the United States Army, having served our country during the late 1950’s and early 1960’s. Most of all, Frank was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, brother-in-law, uncle and friend to many. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Felicia Grabowski. Frank is survived by his beloved and devoted wife of 62 years, Sophie (Sakowski) Grabowski, his loving son, Frank Grabowski III and his wife, Christine, of Keyport, his cherished grandchildren, Frankie and Cara, his brother, Thomas Grabowski and his wife, Carole, of Keyport, his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, along with many nieces and nephews.
