Florence Margaret Sibilia

Florence Margaret Sibilia, 96 of Holmdel, NJ passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026 at Bayshore Hospital.

Born in Newark, New Jersey on Oct 2, 1929 and grew up in Bloomfield and Belleville before moving to Holmdel in 1958.

She was predeceased by her parents Elizabeth (nee Rusczuk) and Andrew Punko. She was the cherished wife of the late Thomas Alfonzo Sibilia with whom she shared 56 years. Florence also held close the memories of her late sisters, Evelyn Baga and her husband Bob, and Eleanor Jankowski and her husband Vincent.

She is survived by her son, Wayne T. Sibilia and his wife Debbie of Pinedale, Wyoming, her two daughters Lorraine Sibilia and her partner Hans Ehrnstrom (deceased) of Ocean Gate, NJ; Donna Diehl and her husband Roy of Union Beach and her Grandchildren Roy Diehl Jr and his wife Jessica; Joshua T. James, Daniel T Diehl, and Thomas Alan Sibilia and his spouse Lux Hetei. She also leaves behind her beloved great grandchildren, Devin Marie Diehl and Tatum Alyse Diehl who brought her great joy.

Florence found happiness in life’s simple pleasures by shopping and even the returns that sometimes came with it. She was known for her independence and feisty nature. She loved driving herself down to Atlantic City to play the slots. She especially loved going on vacation to Sanibel Island with family.

Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of family and friends.

Funeral services are private, family only.

Family and friends are invited to attend the committal service and entombment on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at 11:30 am at Holmdel Cemetery Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
