Florence "Cookie" Pizzi

Florence (Flo) Pizzi, fondly known as “Cookie,” 89, of Keyport, passed away peacefully with her husband at her side on August 11th, 2021, at Bayshore Hospital. She was born Florence Atamborske on April 8th, 1932 to Victor and Mary in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Flo worked for Raritan Radiologic Associates PA in Perth Amboy for 15 years as one of the secretaries to the doctors. Florence loved to dance, played the accordion, did Hawaiian dancing, and marched in the Perth Amboy Lions Drum and Bugle Corps. She played the xylophone in the band. She was married and divorced prior to marrying her current husband Alfred Pizzi (Fred) on December 15th 1973.  

Florence was predeceased by her parents Victor and Mary, and her son Robert Bonis, who passed away in 2008. She is survived by her husband of 48 years Fred, her grandchildren Marianne (Bonis) Kolodziej and Tom Kolodziej, her great grandchildren Alexa, Vanessa, and Tyler, and many extended family and friends. She will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Flo’s wishes, she will be privately cremated. Interment of her remains will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Keyport at a later date.
