Fara Vitale-Barsh

Fara Vitale-Barsh, 70, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, August 12, 2021.  She was born Fara Vitale on December 14, 1950, in Sicily, Italy.  When she was six years old, Fara and her family immigrated to the United States, settling in Brooklyn, New York.  After a few years living in New York, they decided to return to Italy and in 1962, ultimately returned to Brooklyn, New York.  In 1985, Fara settled in Hazlet, New Jersey, where she remained to raise her family.  Before her retirement, she worked for Bayshore Community Hospital in Holmdel for many years.  Most of all, Fara was a loving mother, sister, wife, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many.  She will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Giovanni and Francesca (Finazzo) Vitale.  Fara is survived by her loving children, Lauren McCabe and her husband, James, of Hazlet, Jonathan Barsh and his wife, Lisa, of Belford, her previous husband, Robert Barsh, her dear sisters, Cathy Lombardo and her husband, Joe, Linda Muffaletto and her husband, Sal, and Frances Dygulski and her husband, Mark, along with her cherished grandchildren, Mila McCabe, Alexander McCabe, and Ellie Barsh, and many adored nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday morning, August 16, 2021, from 9:00 to 10:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday, August 16, 2021, at 11:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  Interment will follow at St. Charles Cemetery, 2015 Wellwood Road, Farmingdale, New York at approximately 2:00 PM.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
