Enzo L. Carbocci, 96, of Middletown, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 10, 2022, at Spring Hills in Matawan, New Jersey. Enzo was born on September 15, 1925, in Manhattan, New York. After marriage, Enzo and his beloved wife, Doris, raised their family in Staten Island, New York. Later in life, they retired to Fort Pierce, Florida, where they lived for many years before returning to Hazlet, New Jersey in 2009 and soon after settled in Middletown. Before Enzo’s retirement, he worked for CitiBank in Manhattan, New York for many years as a Senior Trust Officer. He was also a proud veteran of the United States Army (Air Core), having served our country during World War II, where he was stationed in Paris, France as a radio operator.
Enzo enjoyed collecting stamps, coins, and model trains in his spare time. While living in Fort Pierce, Florida, he was the President of the Italian Club. Enzo was big fan of Joe DiMaggio and the Yankees. He also loved Frank Sinatra and all the big band music of that era and was a great dancer. Most of all, he was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Renato and Iva (Lotti) Carbocci, his dear brother, Loris Carbocci, and his beloved and devoted wife, Doris (Ledwith) Carbocci. Enzo is survived by his loving children, Raymond Carbocci and his wife, Marianne, of Virginia, Nancy Costa and her husband, Richard, of Hazlet, Kenneth Carbocci of Staten Island, New York, David Carbocci and his wife, Andrea, of Staten Island, New York, and Lisa Gleason and her husband, James, of Hazlet, New Jersey. Enzo also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Brandon Costa, Sarah Carbocci, Justin Costa, Jonathan Carbocci, Allison Maglione, Jessica Gleason, James Gleason, Paul Carbocci, Eva Carbocci, and Julia Carbocci, and his adored great grandchildren, Mathew, Molly, Caroline, Demi, and Ender.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, June 13, 2022, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for Enzo on Tuesday morning, June 14, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.
