Eloisa Petermann, wife, mother, grandmother and friend, passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home during the afternoon of December 21, 2025, at the age of 90.
Eloisa's early years in Ecuador were filled with the vibrant culture and traditions of her homeland, which she carried in her heart throughout her life. At the age of 21, she embarked on a new chapter, moving to New York City and married the love of her life, Walter. Together, they built a life filled with joy and companionship, a testament to their enduring love.
Eloisa spent 25 years at the Medical Health Center in Middletown, New Jersey, where she was not only a respected colleague but also a cherished friend. Her commitment to the well-being of others was evident in every interaction, and her warmth radiated throughout the halls of the center. She was known for her kindness, strength and unwavering devotion.
She is predeceased by her husband, Walter; her brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Sandy Petermann; her brothers, Rene, Juan, Oswaldo and Edward. Eloisa is survived by her four children, Laura, Gregory, Steven and Kevin, and his partner Mary Demarest; her grandson, Ayrton Demarest; her brother, Julio Cuaces; her sister, Josephine Medina; her nephew, Michael Medina; her cousin, Jane Aguirre; her niece, Vania Petermann and her best friend, Hannelore Herr. Eloisa will also be missed by many extended family members and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 Pm and Tuesday, January 6, 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 10:30 AM by Pastor David Moore from the Faith Reformed Church. Following the service Eloisa will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road Wrightstown, New Jersey.
