Ellen grew up in Hazlet, NJ and was so proud of the life she lived and loved here. Always the person to make others laugh and smile, the middle child of three. Her parents, Fred & Roberta, called her “sis”, her brother David called her “Red”, as did many others, and her younger sister called her “Elle”.
Family was always very important to Ellen and she loved traversing the eastern coast of the U.S. on family vacations and excursions with friends. She lost a few hamsters along the vacations; she often wondered if the hamster who got out in Lake George met a cute chipmunk. She loved holidays with extended family in New York State, Long Island, Florida, and everywhere else they all gathered. A personal favorite was at Christmas visiting grandparents. Her love of family continued into her adult life, building a family she poured her love into, and watching her children, Caroline and Charles, grow into wonderful young adults. More recently, Ellen was very proud to learn of her family history through Jamestown, VA.
Ellen graduated from Raritan High School, Hazlet Township and attended additional schools where she earned several licenses. As a very athletic person in her life, her most coveted license was Fitness Instructor.
In respect of Ellen's wishes she was privately cremated. Ellen’s family will be hosting a Memorial Celebration of her life and her final resting place will be Fair View Cemetery Middletown, NJ at a later date. Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730 was entrusted with her funeral arrangements.
