Eleanor C. Styron, 83, of Hamilton, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025, surrounded by family. Eleanor, also lovingly called “Ellie” by loved ones, was born and raised in Perth Amboy before finally settling down with the love of her life Paul and getting married in 1962. She was a devoted Catholic and a parishioner of St. Gregory the Great church in Hamilton. Ellie was employed at a hardware distribution company in Perth Amboy for over 30 years before retiring in 2007. But most of all, Ellie was a devoted and loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother and great-grandmother. After retiring, she enjoyed vacationing and spending time with her family. She loved reading Danielle Steel books, doing crossword puzzles and word finds, going to AC, playing cards and Rummikub with the girls, and watching Hallmark Channel movies, General Hospital, and The Young and the Restless. She loved all types of food, music, and animals, in particular her cats, our dogs, and horses. Ellie enjoyed skiing, bicycling, bowling, and weekend getaways to Maine with her husband. In her younger years, she played the piano and was a baton twirler in high school. Ellie was a true romantic and caregiver, with a warm, loving, and compassionate heart. Her smile and kind nature will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
She was predeceased by her parents, Matthew and Caroline (Dombek) Stankiewicz, her husband of 47 years, Paul L. Styron, her sister Clara Hamilton and brother-in-law, John “Bud” Hamilton, and long time companion of Lorraine Eaton, Chris Mazauskas.
