Elaine Anne Kurilla

Elaine A. Kurilla, 75, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey. Elaine was born on July 21, 1949, in Bayonne, New Jersey where she grew up. She was part of the 1967 Graduating Class of Bayonne High School. On September 19, 1970, Elaine married the love of her life Peter, and they moved to Hazlet in 1986 where they raised their three daughters. Most of all, she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. Elaine enjoyed trips to Atlantic City with Pete, drinking wine with her daughters, spending time with her grandchildren and dinners out with friends and family.  She will be greatly missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Theodore and Genevieve (Horzepa) Markowski. Elaine is survived by her devoted husband of 54 years, Peter Kurilla, their loving children, Lori Mongrella and her husband Gerard of Point Pleasant, Michele Baughman and her husband Michael of Brick, and Jenna Brucchieri and her husband Anthony of North Caldwell. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Zachary, Julianna, Lily, Joseph, Christopher, and Benjamin.

Family and friends are invited on Wednesday January 15, 2025, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Thursday, January 16, 2025, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM, at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A  prayer service will be offered  on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at 11:00 AM by Saint Joseph/Our Lady of Fatima Parish during the visitation.
