Eduardo Jesus Jackson Sr.

Eduardo Jesus Jackson Sr., 87, of Holmdel, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 4, 2023, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey.  He was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on October 15, 1935. As a child Eduardo moved with his family to Queens, New York and later in his life to Holmdel, New Jersey in 2012. He retired from General Motors, where he enjoyed his work as a automotive mechanic for many years, working in various areas throughout New York City.  He was a member of Hazlet Bible Church, Hazlet, New Jersey.

Eduardo had a talent for working with model cars and planes. He enjoyed spending time doing jigsaw puzzles and was an avid Mets fan.  He was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 

He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Pedro Luis and Juana (Bonilla) Jackson and his beloved first wife, Rachel (Torres) Jackson, his brothers, Franklin Jackson and Peter Jackson and his daughter in law, Filma Jackson. Eduardo is survived by his loving wife, Doris (De Forge) Jackson, his devoted children, Eduardo Jackson Jr and his wife Lucille of Hazlet, New Jersey, Victor Jackson of Newburgh, New York, Darren Jackson and his wife Denise of Lynbrook, New York, Aicha Bartley and her husband Lonny of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Tara Klages and her husband Robert of Houston, Texas, cherished grandchildren, Michele Doubrava and her husband Jared, Rachel Jackson and fiancé Matt Twomey, Jacob Jackson, Jason Klages, Matthew Klages and Gillian Jackson, adored great grandchildren, Logan and Oliver and his brother, Vincente Jackson of California.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, May 8, 2023, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, at 10:30 AM, when a funeral service will be held at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. Interment will follow the prayer service at Fairview Cemetery, 456 State Highway 35, Middletown/Red Bank, New Jersey 07701.
