Edmund W. Barry, 90, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at The Veterans Home in Paramus, New Jersey. Edmund was born on September 19, 1930 in Staten Island, New York, where he grew up. Edmund was a retired salesman for the Prudential Insurance Company. He was also a proud United States Navy Veteran who served our country during the Korean War.
He was predeceased by his parents, Edmund William and Gretchen (Blattner) Barry, his beloved wife, Diane (Yacco) Barry (who passed away on September 11, 2001 at the World Trade Center tragedy), his daughter, Maureen E. Barry, and his sister Margaret Glensor and his brother-in-law, Ronald Glensor. Edmund his survived by his caring and devoted children, Brian M. Barry and his wife, Laurine, and Kevin W. Barry and his wife, Brigetta, and his cherished grandchildren, Gina Marie, Frank, Preston, Spencer, Harrison and Casandra Barry. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Edmund’s wishes, he will be privately cremated. His cremains will be interred at a later date at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.
