Dr. Darren Jerry James, Sr.

Dr. Darren Jerry James Sr., 63, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully
surrounded by his loving family on Friday, February 2, 2024, at Jersey Shore
Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey. Darren was born on February 14, 1960,
in Brooklyn, New York, where he grew up and met his beloved wife, Adrienne. In
1987, Darren and Adrienne relocated to Queens, New York and on February 22,
1992, they were married. In 1994, they started their life together in Union Beach,
New Jersey, and the surrounding Bayshore Area, before settling in Hazlet in 1999.
Throughout his life, Darren was a self-employed Podiatrist. Most of all, Darren
was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, cousin,
nephew and friend. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He was predeceased by his parents, Jerry Alonzo James and Betty (Jones) James,
and his brother-in-law, Everton Brewster. Darren is survived by his beloved and
devoted wife of 32 years, Adrienne (Conaway) James, his loving children, Dorian
Conaway and his wife, Robin, of Keansburg, Quentella Burwell of Brooklyn, New
York, Sykia Goodwin of Brooklyn, Natalie James and her husband, Brendan, of
Hazlet, and Darren Jerry James Jr. of Hazlet, and his dear sisters, Vanessa Brewster,
and Melanie Williams and her husband, Edward, along with 12 cherished
grandchildren, 1 adored great grandchild, and a host of nieces, nephews, family
and friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, February 6, 2024, from 2:00 to
4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A
service will be offered for Darren on Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at 12:00 PM at
Second Baptist Church, 205 Atlantic Street, Keyport, New Jersey 07735. Interment
will follow at approximately 1:30 PM at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway,
