Dorothy C (Hoff) Gallo

Dorothy C. Gallo, 83, of Keyport passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey.  Dorothy was born on October 14, 1940, in Jersey City, New Jersey.  She graduated from Keyport High School in 1958.  She met and later married the love of her life, Anthony Gallo Jr. and they were married on November 22, 1958. They settled in Keyport, where they raised their family together.  Later in life, they retired to North Port, Florida, returning back to Brick, New Jersey in 2013.  Dorothy retired in 2004 after 25 dedicated years from Keyport School District, Keyport, New Jersey, where she worked as a secretary.

Dorothy was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Hoff Sr. and Dorothy (Brooks) Pilz, her beloved husband Anthony Gallo Jr., her caring siblings, Joseph Hoff Jr., Thomas Hoff Sr., Gerard Hoff and Robert J. Hoff.   She is survived by her loving children, Michele Rankl and her husband Robert, Cheryl Lauro, Anthony Gallo III and Jason Gallo and his wife Kathi, her dear siblings, Maryann Finney, Therese Hoff and Michael Hoff, her cherished grandchildren, Patrick Lauro, Jr., Salvatore Lauro and his wife Kristina, Alexandria Kiley, Juliann Gallo, Evan Rankl, Nicholas Gallo, Angela Gallo, Jake Gallo, Luke Gallo, Anthony Gallo IV and Leah Gallo, and her treasured great grandchildren, Ava Kiley, Olivia Kiley, Salvatore Lauro, Anna Michele Kiley, Lorenzo Lauro and Jane Belle Lauro.  She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.  She will be greatly missed, always loved and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, June 30, 2024, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 9:15 to 10:00 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey  07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on 10:30 AM, on Monday, July 1, 2024, at Saint Joseph Roman Catholic Church/Our Lady of Fatima Parish, 376 Maple Place, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.
