Dorothy T. (Lupinski) Courtney

Dorothy T. Courtney, 86, Monroe, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick, New Jersey.  She was born Dorothy T. Lupinski on March 14, 1935, in Manhattan, New York, where she grew up.  In 1957, Dorothy settled in Brooklyn, New York, where she remained to raise her family.  In 1994, she retired to Greensboro, North Carolina and in 2005, relocated to Rossmoor in Monroe Township, New Jersey.  While living at Rossmoor, Dorothy was the Vice President of the Board of Directors for many years.  Most of all, Dorothy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be greatly missed, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Francis Courtney.  Dorothy is survived by her loving children, Dorothy Shannon and her husband, Thomas, of Raleigh, North Carolina, Patricia Walsh and her husband, Philip, of Hazlet, Kevin F. Courtney and his wife, Suzanne, of Hazlet, Michael Courtney and his wife, Karen, of Hamilton, and Frances Ainsworth and her husband, Craig, of Alpharetta, Georgia.  She also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Matthew Shannon and his wife Adrienne, Audrey Shannon, Bryan Walsh, Kevin Courtney, Alyson Courtney, Ian Ainsworth, Amanda Courtney, Philip Walsh, Patrick Ainsworth, Samantha Courtney, Kelly Shannon,  Sean Ainsworth, and Kaitlyn Walsh, along with her treasured great grandson, Wells Shannon.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Saturday morning, November 27, 2021, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday morning, November 27, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, 361 Sharrott Avenue, Staten Island, New York.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
