Doris H. (Smith) Falconer

Doris H. Falconer of Keansburg, New Jersey, formerly of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 6, 2025; she was 101 years young.  She was born Doris H. Smith, on May 3, 1924, in Brooklyn, New York and grew up in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she met her beloved husband, Thomas.  After marriage, Doris and Thomas remained in Jersey City to raise their children.  In 1979, they retired to Whiting, where she remained until she settled in Keansburg about 7 years ago.  Doris was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Edward and Viola (Niehaus) Smith, her beloved and devoted husband of 70 years, Thomas J. Falconer (USN, WWII), and her son-in-law, William Woelpper.  Doris is survived by her loving daughters, Judith Woelpper of Bayonne, and Jean Beacham and her husband, Jeffrey, of Union Beach, her cherished grandchildren, Laraine Benning and her husband, Thomas, Jeff Woelpper and his wife, Maile, Joseph Mazzeo and his wife, Rachel, Kyle Beacham and his wife, Kaitlyn, and Jessica Beacham, along with her treasured great grandchildren, Abigail Benning, Thomas Benning, Sam Mago, Kailey Beacham, and Henry Woelpper.

Her spirit, sense of humor, and love of singing will be missed by all, including her second family at Bayside Manor in Keansburg, where she spent her last several years enjoying life!

In respect of Doris’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.  Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation on Saturday, August 2, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at approximately 12:30 PM.  Doris’ cremains will be laid to rest with her beloved husband, Thomas, at Brigadier General William C.
