Doris (Gruber) Bardsley

                Doris Bardsley, 84, of Keansburg, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, August 3, 2020 at Bayside Manor.  She was born Doris Gruber on October 4, 1935 in Elizabeth, New Jersey and grew up in Fanwood.  In 1960, she settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise her family.  After spending 40 years in Hazlet, Doris relocated to Red Bank in 2000 and recently moved to Keansburg.  Before her retirement, she was a teacher for the Hazlet Board of Education for 35 years.  Most of all, Doris was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, great grandmother, grand-aunt and friend.

          She was predeceased by her parents, Ingram and Ruth (Eickstedt) Gruber, her brother, Bruce Gruber, ex-husband, Thomas Bardsley, and daughter Beverly Bamundo.  Doris is survived by her loving children, Carolynn Itchmoney and her husband, Robert, of Millstone, Steven Bardsley and his wife, Patty, of Wall, SueAnn Rubenstein and her husband, Fred, of Montgomery and her dear brother, Wayne Gruber and his wife, Rita, of North Little Rock, Arkansas.  Doris also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Corey Itchmoney and his wife Yvonne, Vicki Itchmoney, Keith Bardsley, Jillian Bardsley, Mark Bamundo and his wife Becca, Carley Bamundo, Kyla Rubenstein, Gabby Rubenstein, great grandson, Milo Itchmoney, niece Regan Moffitt and her husband Brandon, nephew Will Gruber and wife Emily, great niece, Paige Moffitt, and great nephews, Grant Moffitt and Thatcher Gruber.  Doris will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
