Donald J. Getta

Donald Getta, 67, of Morganville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at Centra State Medical Center in Freehold, New Jersey.  Donald was born on February 1, 1953 in Neptune, New Jersey. He loved bike riding, shooting pool, he was an avid hunter and car enthusiast. Donald was predeceased by his loving parents, Paul Getta and Bertha (Naylor), his dear daughter, Jessica Richards and his dear brother, Paul Getta.  Donald is survived by his beloved wife, Carol (Foust) Getta, his loving children, Melissa Martinez and her husband, Alex, Scott Getta, Jessie Getta, Justina Callahan and her husband, Paul and Donald J. Getta, Jr. He also leaves behind his caring brother Raymond Getta and his cherished grandchildren, Ashley, Alex, Jonathan, Mateo, Mia, Declan, Vail, Rose and Elizabeth. Donald will be sadly missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, February 21, 2020 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and Saturday morning, February 22, 2020 from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during Friday's visitation hours.  Interment will follow Saturday morning's visitation hours at approximately 11:00 AM at Old Tennent Cemetery, 454 Tennent Rd, Manalapan Township, NJ 07726 .  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
