Dolores T Peters

Dolores T. Peters, 94, of Manalapan, New Jersey passed away peacefully on January 16, 2023, at home surrounded by the love of her family.  Dolores was born in Trinidad, West Indies on April 15, 1928. Dolores spent most of her life in Trinidad and Tobago except from 1971 to 2002, when she accompanied three of her children to the United States.  In 2022, she returned to the United States and resided in Manalapan, New Jersey to spend her last years with her family.

In Trinidad and Tobago, Dolores loved farming and taking care of her sheep.  Some of her favorite hobbies were cooking, sewing, reading and writing.  She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and great great grandmother.

Dolores was predeceased by her first husband and father of her children, Joseph F. Thaon, and her second husband, James M. Peters a son in law, Carl Marcano and several brothers and sisters. Dolores is survived by her loving and caring children, Toni Thaon of Hazlet, Rene Marcano of Staten Island, Jack Thaon and his wife Judy of Delaware, Jill Thaon of Manalapan, Joseph Thaon and his wife Carol of Georgia. She loved her 14 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. 

She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. 

Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway 35/North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730 was entrusted with Dolores’s arrangements.  In respect of Dolores’s wishes she was privately cremated.
