Demetrius Constantinos Rexines, of Branchburg, NJ, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2021, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick. Demetrius was born in Kastania, Greece, and immigrated to the United States to Staten Island. After moving to Los Angeles for a short time, Demetrius finally settled in Branchburg, NJ, where he remained and raised his family. He worked in the architecture/construction field as the proprietor of Athan Contracting Company in Brooklyn, New York. He was a loving husband, father, brother and friend.
Demetrius is predeceased by his parents Constantinos and Asimina Rexinis, his brother John Rexinis, and his sister Maria Rexinis. He is survived by his devoted wife of 37 years Roseann (Petosa) Rexines, his loving son Constantinos “Dean” Rexines, his dear sisters Kiki Tsagaris, and Theoni Rexinis, his caring sister-in-law Betty Rexinis, brother-in-law John Tsagaris, and was a cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He will be sadly missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, September 20, 2021, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730 and Tuesday morning, September 21, 2021, from 10:30 to 11:00 AM at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Hillcrest Road, Holmdel, N J 07733. A religious ceremony will follow at church at approximately 11:00AM. Entombment will follow at Holmdel Cemetery and Mausoleum, 900 Holmdel Road, Holdel, NJ, 07733.
