Deborah A. Bost, affectionately known as Debbie to her loved ones, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2025, in Marion, Ohio, just shy of her 52nd birthday. Born on December 5, 1973, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Debbie spent her early years in Hazlet, where she grew into a devoted daughter, mother, aunt, and animal lover. In 2015, she settled in Keansburg, making it her home alongside her two cherished cats, Miley and Sadie, who remained a constant source of comfort and companionship.
A woman of great intellect and compassion, Debbie lived a life defined by fierce love, generosity, and an unforgettable spirit. She was known for her full heart, her quick wit, and her unapologetically crude sense of humor. She was a spitfire like none other: bold, warm, loyal, and endlessly resilient.
She showed up for others even when she had little herself and extended kindness beyond her means to ensure those around her were cared for, fed and sheltered
Her four children, Kaitlyn Dillon, Lauren Dillon, Ryan Amedeo, and Raechel Gardnier, were her greatest joys. She spoke of them often with immense pride, always considering motherhood her most cherished gift.
She is predeceased by her father, William Bost, and her husband, David Gutierrez. She is survived by her devoted mother, Darlene DeMarco, and her brothers, William, David, and his wife Mary, and Richard Bost, who will forever cherish the memories of her loving spirit.
Debbie’s humor, courage, and love will forever be carried by those who knew her. May she rest in peace.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, December 13th, 2025, from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home during the visitation hours. Respecting her family’s wishes, Debbie will be privately cremated.
