David A. Doty

David A. Doty, 71, of Ocean, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey.  David was born on January 3, 1949 in Gary, Indiana, where he grew up.  Early in his adulthood, David enlisted in the Army and was involved in the Vietnam War.  He was stationed at Forth Monmouth when he met his beloved wife, Barbara.  After marriage, David and Barbara remained in New Jersey, starting their lives in Keansburg.  They also lived in various other places in New Jersey, including Keyport, before settling in Long Branch.  David worked as a carpenter/maintenance employee for Panyork Group Inc. for many years.  He loved playing cards, visiting Atlantic City and was an avid New York Yankees fan.

He was predeceased by his parents, Arnold and Dorothy (Klemoff) Doty, his beloved and devoted wife, Barbara Doty, and his dear brother, Eric Doty.  David is survived by his loving sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Claire and John Downes and their children, Tammy, Christine, Janet, and Kevin, Joanne Owens, Maryann and Roger Pilkington, Pat Skweres, Kathy and Gary Kupperstein, and Joseph and Laura Cox.  He is also survived by his step-children, Kimberly Morales and Christopher Mazzella, four grandchildren, one great grandchild, many cherished nieces and nephews, and his beloved bird, Pauly.  David will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
