Daniel Konefal

Daniel Konefal, 54, of Brooklyn, New York passed away peacefully on February 3, 2024, at Staten Island University Hospital, North Campus, Staten Island, New York. He was born on March 29, 1969. Daniel was born, raised, and lived in Brooklyn, New York.  Daniel was a graduate of LaSalle Academy H.S. in Manhattan and a car train inspector for New York City Transit Authority, New York. 

He was predeceased by his beloved father, Frederick Konefal. Daniel is survived by his loving mother, Diane (Grega) Konefal of Brooklyn, New York, his caring siblings, Deana Kalley of Hazlet, New Jersey and Matthew Konefal with wife Dana of Staten Island, New York, his cherished nephew and nieces, Brandon Kalley, Madsyn Kalley, Alivia Konefal and Sophia Konefal, as well as his aunts, uncles, many close cousins and friends. Daniel was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

Daniel was an avid fisherman, 20 plus year volunteer for Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Feast as a painter and lifter of the Giglio and Boat. He loved the NY Yankees, NY Giants, all genres of music, vacationing and watching WWF, ECW wrestling matches with friends. He was a devoted longtime Member of the Knights of Columbus. Danny always enjoyed a good cigar with friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Friday, February 9, 2024, from 4:00 to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, February 10, 2024, from 9:45 to 10:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey  07730. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, February 10, 2024 at 11:15 AM at Saint Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey  07733.
