Daniel Forlenzo Jr.,77, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Born in Newark, New Jersey, to the late Theresa (Pravata) and Daniel Forlenzo Sr., Daniel's life was a testament to his resilience, love, and dedication to his family and community.
Growing up in Belleville, Daniel's early years were filled with the warmth of family and the forging of lifelong friendships. It was there that he met the love of his life, Cathy (Cantalupo) Forlenzo. The two were united in marriage on a beautiful summer day on August 10, 1975, and together they embarked on a journey of love, laughter, and the creation of a family that would be their pride and joy. In 1995, Daniel and Cathy made their home in the Old Bridge section of Matawan, New Jersey, where they continued to nurture their growing family.
Daniel was a man of many talents, most notably his skill as a plumber. He was the proud owner and operator of Affordable Plumbing, where his handiwork and reliability left a lasting impact on the community he served. His work was not just a job but a craft he honed with care and professionalism. Beyond his civilian life, Daniel was a proud veteran of the United States Army. His service during the Vietnam War spoke volumes of his courage and his unwavering commitment to his country.
Daniel's legacy lives on through his beloved family. He is survived by his devoted wife, Cathy Forlenzo; his sons, Daniel Forlenzo III and his wife Kathy of Union Beach, and Michael Forlenzo and his wife Lisa of Hazlet; and his adored grandchildren, Gila and Michael Forlenzo. Each of them carries a piece of Daniel's spirit, his strength, and his love.
As we bid farewell to Daniel Forlenzo, we celebrate a life well-lived, a life filled with purpose, love, and an unwavering dedication to family. He has left an indelible mark on the hearts of those he touched, and his memory will be cherished forever.
