Daniel C Correia

Daniel “Danny” “Chef” C. Correia, 60, of Monmouth Beach, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Danny was born on August 12, 1963, in Newark, New Jersey. Along with his family they moved to Edison, New Jersey where he remained until 2019, when he moved to Monmouth Beach, New Jersey.  Danny retired after many dedicated years of working for the United States Postal Service as driver in the Newark, New Jersey area. 

Danny was a horse racing enthusiast and enjoyed spending time at Monmouth Park in Oceanport, New Jersey. He also enjoyed watching football and was an avid New Orleans “Saints” fan. He created happy memories for himself on his trips to Atlantic City.  Lastly Danny, the “Chef” loved to cook and his food was enjoyed by many.

Danny is predeceased by his beloved parents, Daniel C., and Rachel (Fasano) Correia. He is survived by his loving siblings, Lisa DeCarvalho, with whom he lived, Donna Best and Christina Correia and Antonio Correia, his cherished nieces, Alexis DeCarvalho, Amanda Best Luby and her husband Sean and a cherished nephew, Mark Best, Danny is a proud great uncle to Katelyn Best. Above all else Danny was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. Everyone loved his smile and that he had a heart of gold.  He will be greatly missed, always remembered, and forever loved.

Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey   07730 was entrusted with his funeral arrangements. In respect of Danny’s wishes, he will be privately cremated.  A Memorial Mass will be held at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church, 259 Oliver Street, Newark, New Jersey 07105.
