Cynthia (Body) Mehlman

Cynthia Mehlman, 86, of Holmdel, New Jersey, passed away peacefully Saturday, February 10, 2024. She was born March 16, 1937 in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up. Cynthia moved to Freehold, New Jersey,  with her then husband Arthur to raise her family. Ultimately she settled in South Florida where she cared for her beloved mother. In recent years, she relocated to Holmdel to be near her children. Cynthia was a loving daughter, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her mother, Ida Body Halpern, her father Jack Body, her stepfather, Henry Halpern, and her sister, Sheila Safier.  Cynthia is survived by her loving children, Marc Mehlman and his wife Judy, Ellyn Mehlman and her partner David Halpern, her dear siblings, Zvi Bodie and his wife Judy, Hope Fremd and her husband Gary, her stepbrother, Jean Halpern and his wife Salli. Cynthia also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Nicole Taylor and her husband Dan, Ashley Clower and her husband James, Jackie Rogers and her husband Connor, Madison Mehlman and her fiancé Pat Ambrose, Paige Smith and her husband Connor, and Nate Riccio, and her precious great-grandson Corey Reed Clower.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Cynthia’s wishes, she will be privately cremated.
