Concetta M (Riccardelli) Cambareri

Concetta (nee Riccardelli) Cambareri, 85, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Springpoint Living at Manalapan. Concetta, known as Connie to all, was born on October 28, 1937, in Brooklyn, New York.  Connie met the love of her life, Rocco Cambareri and they wed on July 2, 1961. They began their lives together in Queens and in 1967, they moved to Hazlet, New Jersey, where together they raised their family. Connie proudly worked as a secretary in the Pathology Department at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel, New Jersey for 40 plus years. She was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, sister, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed, forever remembered, and live in the hearts of those who knew her.

Connie’s many hobbies included cooking, baking (the best Christmas cookies), gardening, and painting, and was an avid reader (participating in book clubs). She was also very talented at sewing, knitting and crocheting and received a great deal of pleasure making clothes and Halloween costumes for her daughters. Above all of her hobbies, she most enjoyed spending time with her family, including her cherished grandson, Wes, who was a source of great joy and pride.

Connie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 61 years, Rocco Cambareri in 2021, her parents Richard and Antoinette (DeMola) Riccardelli, her sister, Maryann Trezza and her brother, Richard Riccardelli.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Maria Cusumano and her husband, Joseph, Joanna Johnston and her husband, Austin, Roxanne Rivingston and her husband, Thorp, her adoring grandson, Wes Rivingston, and her dear sisters, Sister Vita Marie Riccardelli and Margaret Riccardelli. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. In respect of Connie’s wishes she will be privately cremated, and a celebration of her life will be held in August. Her cremains will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, New Jersey.
