Christopher Mark Bolte, 73, of Keyport, passed away peacefully after several years of declining health at home, with his loving family by his side. Chris was born on January 9, 1950, in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Chris met and later married the love of his life, Teresa Everson, on January 22, 1972. He was a proud lifelong resident of Keyport, New Jersey. He worked on the assembly line for both Bendix Corp., Eatontown, until its closure and General Motors in the Linden, New Jersey and Lordstown, Ohio plants until retirement.
After retirement, he enjoyed volunteering at the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry in his free time. Chris loved spending time by the bay and at Sandy Hook beaches. He never missed the Haskell at Monmouth Park Racetrack but his love for New Jersey corn on the cob and a good charcoal grilled burger was unparalleled. Chris could usually be found reading the daily newspapers cover to cover. He will be most remembered in the neighborhood for his creative firework displays and was never one to disappoint. Chris will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
Chris was predeceased by his beloved parents, George “Chuck” and Mary (McGuinness) Bolte, a brother, John Bolte and a nephew Jordan Bolte. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Teresa Everson Bolte, his loving daughter, Christian Bolte-Hudson and her husband Allen Hudson, cherished grandson, Sean Hudson, his brother, Michael Bolte, all from Keyport, New Jersey and much extended family and friends.
Arrangements were entrusted to Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.
