Catherine Agnes "Kitty" (Anderson) Straniero

Catherine A. Straniero, 83, of Hazlet, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love of her family, on Tuesday, September 6, 2022.  She was born Catherine Anderson on March 2, 1939 in Altadena, California.  She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach, New Jersey.  Catherine married the love of her life John E. Straniero on June 2, 1962, and together they raised their family in Hazlet, New Jersey.  She retired in 2001 after many years, as an operator, from IFF, Inc. (International Flavor and Fragrances Inc.) She was an amazing crafter and knitter. She loved traveling with her beloved late husband John and they together enjoyed their day trips to Atlantic City. Her absolute love of her family was her greatest joy.  Catherine was a devoted daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.  She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Catherine was predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years John E Straniero, her parents, William and Sophie (Cavanaugh) Anderson.

She is survived by her loving children Peter Straniero and his wife Colleen of Brick, New Jersey, Paul Straniero and his wife Teresa of Westminster, Maryland, Catherine Mondi and her husband Mark of Kendall Park, New Jersey. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren Priscilla,  Katrina, Tricia, Jimmy, Shannon, Erin and Nate and her adored 7 great grandchildren, her dear siblings  William Anderson and his wife Patricia, Mary Anderson, John Anderson along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 12:00 noon to 4:00 PM  and on Monday from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. 3269 State Highway/Route 35, Hazlet, New Jersey, 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 12, 2022 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.
