Catherine (Pedretti) Oliverio

Catherine Oliverio, 82, of Jackson, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 24, 2021, at Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune, New Jersey.  She was born Catherine Pedretti on February 1, 1939, in Rocca di Neto, Calabria, Italy, where she spent her early childhood years.  In 1949 at 9 years old, Catherine immigrated to the United States with her family, settling in Brooklyn, New York, where she met her beloved husband, Frank.  On October 16, 1960, Catherine and Frank were married in Brooklyn, and began their life and family together.  In 1969, they relocated to Staten Island, New York, where they remained until moving to Holmdel, New Jersey in 1985.  A few years ago, they retired to Jackson.  Most of all, Catherine was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend to many.  She will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Anthony and Domenica (Burretta) Pedretti, and her siblings, Frank Pedretti and Rose Sestito.  Catherine is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 61 years, Frank Oliverio, her loving sons, John Oliverio and his wife, Donna, of Hazlet, and Frank Oliverio Jr. and his wife, Maria, of Jackson, her dear siblings, Anthony Pedretti and Clotilda Toscano, her brother-in-law, Domenick Oliverio, and sister-in-law, Rosetta Oliverio.  Catherine also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Maria Bonner and her husband, Sean, Katrina Vitale and her husband, Charles, Nicole Oliverio and her fiancé, Eddie, and Stephanie Oliverio, and her treasured great grandchildren, Scarlett, Skylar, Chase, L.J., and Gia.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, December 28th, 2021, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM and Wednesday morning, December 29th, 2021, from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, December 29th, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, 727 Highway 36, Union Beach, New Jersey 07735.  Entombment will follow at Fair View Cemetery Mausoleum, 456 State Highway 35, Middletown, New Jersey 07748.  In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Catherine to the American Lung Association, www.lung.org, and/or the American Diabetes Association, www.diabetes.org, would be greatly appreciated.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.
