Catherine (Devaney) Egan

Catherine Egan, 53, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away suddenly at home on Friday, May 8, 2020.  She was born Catherine Devaney on January 25, 1967 in Brooklyn, New York and as a child, she and her family moved to Hazlet, New Jersey in 1970.  On June 4, 1994, Catherine and her husband, Robert, were married and began their life together in Hazlet, where they remained to raise their family.  She was presently working for USI Insurance Services as a Premier Billing Specialist in Matawan, New Jersey.  Most of all, Catherine was a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She was predeceased by her parents, Richard and Catherine (Clinton) Devaney, her brothers, Richard and John Devaney and her nephew, Tyler Devaney.  Catherine is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 25 years, Robert Egan of Hazlet, her loving son, Robert Egan Jr. of Hazlet, her dear sister, Carol Rechten and her husband, Keith, of Union Beach, her cherished niece and nephews, Michelle Kenny, Michael Rechten, and Brion Devaney, and her adored great nieces and nephews, Olivia Kenny, Emma Kenny, Jules Rechten, Joey Kenny, and Nate Rechten.  Catherine will be greatly missed and never forgotten.
