Carolyn M. Burke

Carolyn M. Burke, the sweetest angel on earth, 90, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Friday morning, August 15, 2025.  She was born Carolyn M. Flickinger on August 22, 1934, in Brooklyn, New York, where she grew up and met her husband, Michael.  After marriage, Carolyn and Michael began their life and family together in Brooklyn, and soon after settled in Hazlet, New Jersey in 1956.  Ten years later, her beloved husband, Michael passed away, and Carolyn remained in Hazlet to raise her four children.  Before her retirement, she worked for Dr. Weldon on Hazlet Avenue as a receptionist for many years.  Most of all, Carolyn was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many.  She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.

She was predeceased by her parents, Carl and Sophia (Janiciki) Flickinger, and her beloved husband, Michael James Burke.  Carolyn is survived by her loving children, Michael James Burke Jr. and his wife, Donna, of Tennessee, Kevin John Burke and his wife, Lynne, of Toms River, Stephen Joseph Burke and his wife, Irene, of Maryland, and Kathryn Dubleski and her husband, Jerry, of Holmdel.  Carolyn also leaves behind her cherished grandchildren, Jerry Jr., Melissa, Jason, Michael Jr., Gavin, Matthew, Alexia, Olivia, Danielle, and Rainey, along with 14 treasured great grandchildren.
