Caroline J. (Podgorski) Healey

Caroline J. Healey, fondly known as "Carol", 83, of Hazlet, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday morning, March 6, 2021 at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, New Jersey.  She was born Caroline J. Podgorski on December 1, 1937 in Jersey City, New Jersey, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Richard.  On February 9, 1963, Carol and Richard were married and began their lives together in Jersey City.  A few years later in 1967, they settled in Hazlet, New Jersey to raise their family.  Before her retirement, Carol worked as the Executive Secretary for the Principal of Raritan High School.  She was also a devout communicant of St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church in Holmdel, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister for many years.

She was predeceased by her parents, Adam and Mary (Wiwatowski) Podgorski.  Carol is survived by her beloved and devoted husband of 58 years, Richard Healey, her loving children, Andrea Healey of Hazlet, and Richard Healey Jr. of Hazlet, her dear sister, Barbara Podgorski, and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.  Carol will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM and Wednesday morning, March 10, 2021 from 8:45 to 9:30 AM at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday morning, March 10, 2021 at 10:00 AM at St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Road, Holmdel, New Jersey 07733.  Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, 360 Broadway, Keyport, New Jersey 07735.  For information, directions, or to send condolences to the family, please visit, www.shorepointfh.com.

As per the regulations imposed through the State of New Jersey, there will now be a maximum of 100 persons allowed in the funeral home at one time.  In order to accommodate all of Carol's family and friends, we ask that you please be brief while visiting in order to make room for additional guests to pay their respects; we thank you for your understanding during this time. Face protection is also required as per state regulations.
