Carmen Auriemma, 74, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday January 29, 2020 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, New Jersey. Carmen was born on July 1, 1945 in Long Branch, New Jersey. In 1978, he moved to Hazlet, New Jersey where he settled and raised his family. He was a retired Batch Mixer for Eco-Labs, Avenel, New Jersey. Carmen was also a proud United States Army Veteran who served our country during the Vietnam Era, stationed in Germany.
He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Helen (Bara) Auriemma and his beloved wife, Maria Elena (Herrera) Auriemma. Carmen is survived by his loving and devoted son, Brian M. Auriemma and his daughter-in-law, Danielle Mara-Auriemma of Matawan, New Jersey, his dear Step-daughter, Yvette Cotter of Morganville, his caring sister, Rose Auriemma, and his cherished grandchildren, Peyton Auriemma, Vince Auriemma, Shavaun Cotter and Shawn Cotter. Carmen will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, New Jersey 07730. A prayer service will be offered at the funeral home at 3:00 PM (St. Clement’s R.C. Church). In respect of Carmen's wishes, he will be privately cremated.
