Carmela Canzoneri

Carmela Canzoneri (nee Santomarco), 85, of Hazlet, NJ, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, February 8, 2024, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, NJ.

Carmela, fondly known as Dolly, was born on January 26, 1939, in Brooklyn, NY, where she grew up and met her beloved husband, Vincent.  In the mid-1980s, Dolly and Vincent settled in Hazlet, where she remained to the present day.  Before her retirement, Dolly worked as a seamstress in Brooklyn for many years and later at the Rag Shop and as a crossing guard in Hazlet.  Most of all, Dolly was a loving wife, sister, aunt and friend to many.

She was predeceased by her husband of 58 years, Vincent A. Canzoneri, and her brother, Vincent Santomarco.  Dolly is survived by her dear sister, Jeanette Giordano and her husband John, cherished nephews, Angelo Giordano and his partner Aysen Akturk and John Giordano and his wife Catherine.  She is also survived by her treasured grand nieces and nephews, Amanda, Giovanni, Gabriella and Anthony, along with many more extended family and friends.  Dolly will be deeply missed, forever loved and never forgotten.

Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday morning, February 12, 2024, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. at Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., 3269 State Highway/Route 35 North, Hazlet, NJ  07730.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday morning, February 12, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. at The Church of St. Catherine Laboure, 110 Bray Avenue, N.
